Better expectations for French retail... on average...

The French National Statistics Institute (INSEE) is the most reliable source of information for French Statistics. The monthly update on French retail provides detailed trends for various kind of retail. Over the past year, French retail has been negatively impacted by the low GDP growth, poor consumer sentiment and terrorism threats. The latest survey conducted among French retailers shows a better trend on average with retailers' expectations being stable for the months to come. However, a closer look at the figures shows that fashion retailers still expect decreasing sales. This is not positive for shopping centers.
